For this inaugural episode of Tasting Wild, Celebrity Chef Melissa King met up with geothermal scientist and science communicator extraordinaire Andrés Ruzo to travel to Mauna Loa–the largest active volcano on the planet.
Their journey in the Mazda CX-50 was breathtaking and energizing, and inspired Melissa to prepare a visually striking meal rich with local ingredients. Each dish reflected the beauty they encountered during their journey.

Our connection to nature should remain, even while driving. After a day of exploring Hawaii’s dynamic and rich landscape, Melissa wound her way along island roads in the Mazda CX-50.
