A RANGE MADE FOR MORE
Mazda Hybrid vehicles use an internal combustion engine and an electric motor to extend how far you can travel on a single tank of gas while helping offer more horsepower and greater response over equivalent gas-powered Mazda vehicles. That means you can experience all the unique driving dynamics that people expect from a Mazda vehicle and go even farther.
THE 2025 MAZDA CX-50 HYBRID
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Our plug-in hybrid electric vehicles don’t just offer up to 323 hp when using the recommended premium octane fuel and an EPA-estimated 490-mile total driving range; the 3-row Mazda CX-90 and the 2-row CX-70 can both use all-electric power for shorter trips within 26 miles. So, if you regularly plug in overnight, you could run many—or even most—of your errands using only electric-power. 2
THE 2025 MAZDA CX-70 PHEV
Our newest plug-in hybrid electric vehicle has everything you'd expect from an agile 2-row SUV, plus an efficient and electrified powertrain that gives you all-electric power for your day-to-day trips.
THE 2025 MAZDA CX-90 PHEV
This surprisingly nimble 3-row SUV was built with you, your passengers, and your daily journeys in mind—from all-electric daily errands with the family to hybrid-powered weekend road trips and beyond.

How does temperature affect Mazda electrified vehicles’ driving range?
Lithium-ion batteries prefer an ideal temperature of 77-95° F (25-35° C). If the battery is too cold, range, charging times and performance can decline. Range is less affected by hot weather, but the battery can degrade more quickly and charge more slowly. Read more about how temperatures affect EV range here
Can I drive longer distances in an electrified vehicle versus the gasoline version?
-
What can I do if my battery runs out of charge while on the road?
The CX-90 PHEV and CX-70 PHEV switch over to the gas engine for power when battery charge drops below a certain level. While driving, the vehicles can also employ “Charge Mode” that will use the engine to charge the battery up to a preset level of charge.
Do electrified cars give off emissions?
When the CX-90 PHEV or CX-70 PHEV are operated in EV mode, there are no emissions from the vehicle's tailpipe. During longer driving distances, when the engine turns on, the PHEV performs similar to a traditional hybrid vehicle, consuming less fuel and producing fewer emissions than similar conventional vehicles.
While the CX-90 PHEV and CX-70 PHEV can operate on 100% electric power, you cannot operate the vehicles without gasoline in the tank.
Is the battery covered by a warranty?
Yes, the CX-90 PHEV and CX-70 PHEV lithium-ion batteries come with a High Voltage Battery Limited Warranty. This warranty is for 96 months or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. In TZEV states, extended emission warranty coverage of the High Voltage Battery may apply. See your Mazda Dealer for Limited Warranty details.

For vehicles registered in California and other states that have adopted California’s emissions regulations under Section 177 of the Federal Clean Air Act, extended emission warranty coverage of the High Voltage Battery may apply. This extended emission warranty coverage is for vehicles certified as a Transitional Zero Emissions Vehicle (TZEV) as indicated on the vehicle emission control information label. In TZEV states, extended emission warranty coverage of the High Voltage Battery may apply.
The High Voltage Battery Limited Warranty period begins on the Date of First Service. “Date of First Service” means the first date the Mazda Vehicle is delivered to the first retail purchaser, is leased, or is placed into service as a company vehicle use (e.g., as a demonstrator, rental, or fleet vehicle), whichever is earliest. This Limited Warranty does not mean that the High Voltage Battery is defect-free. For this reason, Mazda provides this Limited Warranty in order to remedy during the warranty period any such defects in materials and workmanship subject to the exclusions indicated under “WHAT IS NOT COVERED.” The vehicle must be brought to an Authorized Mazda Dealer for all warranty service. The Authorized Mazda Dealer will, without charge for parts or labor, either repair or replace the defective High Voltage Battery using a new, remanufactured or factory-reconditioned High Voltage Battery with a suitable energy capacity level at the time of warranty repair.
