UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a
collection of 17 interlinked global goals to support peace and prosperity.
Our ESG strategy is aligned with several UN SDGs where we have
the greatest opportunity to make a positive impact.
Mazda's global vision: carbon neutrality by 2050
Mazda Motor Corporation aims to achieve carbon neutrality at its global factories by 2035, with a broader goal to reach carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain and vehicle life cycle by 2050. We are working toward this goal within our U.S. operations.
OUR APPROACH TO ESG
PEOPLE ARE AT THE CORE OF WHAT WE DO
We champion diversity, human capability and ingenuity wherever and whenever we can, and we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome. In 2024, we launched Mazda Tribute, an online platform where team members are able to recognize each other for a job well done.
PARTNERING WITH OUR COMMUNITIES
We partner and support our communities in three primary ways: our team members' active participation in community initiatives, through our network of dealerships, and through the Mazda Foundation. In 2024, our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) made significant contributions to nonprofits across the U.S. in line with our EBRGs’ missions and our DEI priorities.
BUILT ON GOOD MANAGEMENT
Our ESG team, in collaboration with our ESG Council, brings together key experts from across our business to advise on our sustainability strategy and ensure we continue to meet stakeholder expectations.
